Our Collection

Woven with
living color.

Each textile is a collaboration between raw, untreated fibers and the unpredictable beauty of botanical dyes. We create functional pieces designed to age gracefully over time.

The Foundation

We source only the finest natural fibers—heavyweight European linen, unbleached organic cotton, and raw silk. Synthetic blends cannot absorb natural pigment, so we commit strictly to the materials of the earth.

Before any color is applied, every piece undergoes a rigorous scouring and mordanting process. This ensures the fibers are deeply receptive to plant extracts, resulting in rich, enduring hues that withstand the test of daily use.

The Rhythm of the Studio

Creating living color is a slow, methodical process defined by patience and precision.

Phase One

Scouring & Preparation

Before dyeing, every fiber must be deeply cleansed. We scour our linens and cottons using neutral pH soaps and hot water baths to remove natural waxes and spinning oils. Without this crucial step, the pigment would sit on the surface rather than binding to the core of the thread.

The Vat & Oxidation

Dyeing is an exercise in building layers. Pieces are immersed in botanical vats, then pulled into the air to oxidize. This process is repeated—sometimes up to a dozen times—until the exact depth of shade is achieved. The fabric is then slowly cured to ensure colorfastness.

Caring for Living Color

Naturally dyed textiles are alive. They will gently evolve over their lifespan. To preserve their vibrancy and structural integrity, we recommend a mindful approach to care.

Washing

Hand wash or use a gentle machine cycle with cold water. Always use a pH-neutral, gentle detergent. Harsh chemicals and commercial stain removers will strip natural pigments immediately.

Drying

Air dry flat or line dry in the shade. Direct, prolonged exposure to harsh sunlight can cause botanical colors to fade over time.

Storage

Store textiles in a dark, dry place when not in use. Avoid storing them in direct contact with acidic woods like cedar.

Ironing

Iron on a medium setting while the fabric is slightly damp. Using steam helps relax heavy linen fibers without damaging the color.
